Terms of Service
These terms are the agreement between you and Codivion, LLC for the use of TrueStat. Using the service means you accept them.

The service
TrueStat is a hosted web analytics product. You add a site, install a small script on it, and we collect and report on the traffic that script sends us.
We may change or add features. If we remove something you rely on, or make a change that materially reduces what your plan includes, we will tell you by email before it takes effect.
Your account
You need an account to use TrueStat, and you are responsible for what happens under it, including anything done by people you invite. Keep your credentials to yourself and tell us at security@truestat.io if you think an account has been compromised.
You can sign in with a Google account. If you do, your use of Google is governed by Google’s own terms, and we receive only the email, name and picture described in our Privacy Policy. Disconnecting Google does not close your TrueStat account; deleting the account does.
You may also connect Google Search Console or Google Analytics to a site. Doing so grants us read-only access to that Google property on your behalf, for the purposes described in the Privacy Policy and no other. You are responsible for having the right to share that property’s data with us, and you can withdraw the grant at any time from the site’s settings or from your Google account.
You must be old enough to enter a contract where you live, and you must not use TrueStat if we are barred from providing it to you by law or sanctions.
What you may not do
You agree not to:
- install the tracker on a site you do not own or have permission to measure, or send us events for traffic that did not happen
- put special-category personal data — health, biometrics, precise location, government identifiers, financial account numbers — into a custom event property
- use TrueStat to build a profile of an individual across sites you do not control, or to identify a visitor who has not consented to that
- attempt to break, overload or work around the limits of the service, or to reach data belonging to another customer
- resell the service without a written agreement with us
You are the controller of the data you collect through TrueStat, and it is your job to have a lawful basis for it and to tell your visitors what you collect.
Plans, billing and limits
Plans, their prices and what each includes are on the pricing page, and the plan you subscribed on is shown in your billing settings. Prices are in US dollars, exclusive of tax unless shown otherwise at checkout.
Subscriptions renew automatically for the same period until cancelled. The lifecycle works like this, and the same rules apply whether you change your plan in the app or through the billing portal:
- Moving to a larger plan takes effect immediately, and you are charged the difference for the rest of the period straight away.
- Moving to a smaller plan takes effect at the end of the period you have already paid for. Until then you keep what you paid for.
- Cancelling stops the renewal. You keep access until the end of the period you have already paid for, and we do not refund the unused part of it.
- Switching between monthly and yearly starts a new billing period from the day you switch.
If a payment fails we will retry it and email you. If it keeps failing, access to the dashboard may be suspended — but we do not delete your data on a failed payment, and we do not stop collecting events while we try to reach you.
When you move to a plan that includes fewer sites than you are using, you choose which sites stay active. Sites you do not choose stop collecting until you upgrade again or free up room.
If a price changes, the change applies to new subscriptions. You keep the price you subscribed on until you change plans yourself.
Your data, and ours
The analytics data you collect is yours. We process it to provide the service, we do not sell it, and we do not use it to train anything. You can export it or ask us to delete it at any time. How we handle it is set out in our Privacy Policy.
TrueStat itself — the software, the interface, the name and the marks — stays ours. You get the right to use it while your subscription is active, and nothing more.
Availability
We work to keep TrueStat available and we do not promise it never breaks. The service is provided as is, without warranties of any kind, to the extent the law allows.
Analytics products measure; they do not guarantee. Figures may be affected by blockers, network failures, a misinstalled script or the identity mode a site is on, and we do not warrant that any number is a complete count of reality.
Liability
To the extent the law allows, neither party is liable for indirect, incidental or consequential losses, or for lost profits or lost data. Our total liability for any claim is limited to what you paid us in the twelve months before it arose.
Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including for fraud or for death or personal injury caused by negligence.
Ending the agreement
You may cancel at any time from your billing settings. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, that is being used unlawfully, or whose payments have gone unresolved — and except where a breach is serious or unlawful, we will give you notice and a chance to fix it first.
After an account closes we keep the data for a short grace period so a returning customer does not lose their history, then delete it.
Changes to these terms
When these terms change, the date at the top changes with them. For material changes we will email account holders before the new version applies. Continuing to use TrueStat after that means you accept it; if you do not, you can cancel.
Governing law and contact
TrueStat is operated by Codivion, LLC. These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, and the courts there have exclusive jurisdiction over disputes arising from them.
Questions about these terms go to support@truestat.io, and billing questions to billing@truestat.io.
